Denver Accident Report

IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLACE IN CAR
Do you know what to do in case of an accident? Most of us don’t. To make matters worse, the stress of a collision can cause you to leave out important steps. Here is a check list you can print and place in your glove compartment just in case.
 Dial 911 – Call For Help.
 Cooperate with police and emergency workers. Go to the emergency room if instructed to.
 Assist injured persons till emergency personnel arrive.
 Exchange information with all drivers involved. Ask for;
- their names,
- driver’s license information,
- vehicle registration and
- proof of insurance.
 Report the accident to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
 If no police are present, be sure to file a report with your local police station.
 Contact your doctor of chiropractic or call; (303)394-CARE (2273).
 Contact your insurance company.
 Collect the names and numbers of any witnesses.
 Draw a diagram of the crash scene taking note of skid marks, glass, fluid splatter, etc. If you have a cell phone take pictures.
 Do not try to drive if you feel you cannot do so safely.

This is a lot to remember, especially if you’ve just had an accident. Take a second and print this important information. Place it in your glove compartment and hope you never need it.
