How Does This Happen?
Whiplash is an injury to the spine that is frequently associated with automobile accidents. Other causes of whiplash include sporting activities, accidents, falls, and assault.
What Can I do To Help Myself?
Home care of whiplash consists of rest, avoiding postures and activities that aggravate the condition, and the application of ice. Never apply ice directly to your skin. Use a towel between your skin and the ice. Applications should be 5-20 minutes, three times a day. Later, hot moist heat may be of benefit.
